It seems that everyone is talking about their own bands over the forum, here's a page where you tell us your band name and give everyone the web address. Narcotic Death is my band, been together for a year, going into the studio to record our first full album in a few weeks time, please give us an add on myspace, we would be delighted to gig with any bands wanting the same thing!
Enjoy! Liam.

Sounds pretty good mate! Not a big fan of the vocals myself, but digging the guitar lines!
We'll, my band's Apterous, and yes, we did name ourselves after 'My Apterous Angel'. But we figured that's too long for a band name we like. We've been together for a year and a half or so, but we were slackers in the beginning and have only been working on our own material for 9 months or so.
Anyway, here's our myspace with our terrible recording of Proclamation. We're going to record some more of our songs in the rehearsal room, where you can actually hear the vocals and our playing won't be as terrible. We are looking to record a demo-cd sometime this summer to have a good representation of our music. Our first gig will be sometime in March. After that, we need to get ourselves out there finally.
http://www.myspace.com/apterousmetal Enjoy.

We enjoy mocking that term ourselves very much.

Really poor attempt at death metal, but our EP will be much sharper, more professional and overall, better.

I'd say your band is the best yet, Paul.. Although it does sound pretty derivative of the Ak at points.
But yeah, it shows a lot of potential and there are some genuinely cool riffs and ideas going on. The drums at times sound too manic, mainly the Tom work. If thats what you want, ignore me on that. Can't hear any bass either.. But the production is actually pretty cool otherwise - would make for a pretty impressive demo i'd say.

That'd be funny, but don't really see that happening.
Woot, first performance in 9 days. Pure Satanic Inbred Holocaust.

^At first I was a bit confused, as in my opinion one show in every 9 days is pretty fast pace. But you meant that your first ever show is occuring in 9 days, right?

Yes. Not even a full show really, just performing at this weird contest thingy. Our bass player arranged it.

Thanks for the kind words bro! Yeah, I was seriously influenced by AK when I wrote Temptress... I swear AK was all that was playing on my pc.
The drums on the demo were all fake, Joe jsut chucked them together as we really needed it at the time.
That said, we've got a couple of snippets up on our page of shizzle that we're working on and our drummer is playing oan them, it's only rough recordings, but it's just a taster!
Our EP has almost finished too, it's heavy, technical, melodic and weird... It's probably because we're writing whatever we want rather then saying "right, it has to be death metal". It's a decent mix of styles, thrash/death/hardcore/grind/black, hardest shit we've ever wrote, and the drums for one of my tracks get intense as the snippet shows, the drummer went all out on this one!
Can't wait, we'll be gigging soon My dream come true!

Here we go, this is my band Talanas, we've just updated the myspace page and uploaded a pre-production video blog. We're recording now and will be releasing our debut EP soon, there's some clips of the demo material in the video:

Gaijin sounds pretty good! I like the tremelo picking sounds very evil.
The Talanas video is cool, I look forward to hearing your EP. I believe I've met Joe the drummer before at my local venue!
Apterous is necro! Nice combination of Black and Thrash.
My old band is Unhallowed Apollyon. This is my most recent band recording : www.myspace.com/unhallowedapollyon Theres definately a strong Ak influence
My new band is called Severence and we're in the process of recording now.

Talanas sounds pretty goddamn awesome! Be sure to inform us when that EP is out. Mint vid too!
Unhallowed Apollyon.. What a fucking name mate! Sounds pretty cool though, not really digging the guitar sounds, but it sounds gruwesome and slick. I can really hear the Akercocke influence too.
Sorry for not listening to Gajin earlier. Pretty weird, some songs seemed kind of boring to me, but pretty brutal. Same thing with the guitar tone though.
Also, we recorded Proclamation again, in-time this time and audiable vocals. We also recorded our second song, St.Petersburg. Before I get flamed because the intro kind of looks like Heartwork, I wrote the main part of that before I even was into Carcass years ago!

Talanas sounds intriguing.. But your drummer and singer seemed to enjoy their muslces as much as the music. The keyboard parts sounded awesome, can imagine that'll be the part that gets me most moist.

Ha ha yeh lots of people have commented about the amount of flexing in that vid... Oh well.
We've recorded the drums, so things are moving onwards.

We've recently posted a demo version of a song entitled "Sacrificial Rites (of the Black Goat Cult)" on our Myspace page. Though the song was written approximately two years ago and we have been performing it live since then, we finally got around to recording a proper version of it just recently. A final, re-recorded version of the song will appear on our upcoming full-length, to be released within a year's time. A lot of time and energy was spent writing and recording this track, so please check it out and let us know what you think. Thanks.

This band has not been very active over the last many months. I suppose years have come into play by now. But it's been my longstanding hope that we could re-convene and put the things we wrote and then left to rot onto a record. We played a sort of...'progressive' black metal something I guess.

I played the drums and shared songwriting duties with the guitarist, but only one track has actual drums tracked. The other is programmed.

I am working on a ABRUPTUM style solo project but being unable to find a corpse painted dwarf I am going it alone. Using Reaper on my computer and a host of instruments I am trying to make a album of dark sonic landscapes in the recesses of the mind. If it sounds heavy it is because it is.
