The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle. I found it in my dads house. It was a good read.

Shogun by James Clavell.

The day i read a better book than this, may be the best day of my life. Every time i read it i feel like bad mouthing 'classic' Russian literature.

Dreams From My Father. Its Barack Obama's book from before he was a politician. I thought it was a good book, but he just wouldn't shut up about how he was black and his hertitage confused him. Although I suppose it was a memoir.

6th of march by all accounts. I'm tempted to go to Bradford and watch it on the IMAX as I'm pretty sure it's gonna be screened on that big bastard. Not sure how the Pirate sub-story will be incorporated into the film,if at all.

The London IMAX is showing it I know that. The Black Freighter storyline isn't in the film itself, but they've animated it as a cartoon and will be releasing it on DVD. I think they might also be releasing a version of the film on DVD with it edited in, but they couldn't do it for the cinema because it would make the film about four hours long.

I'm not especially looking forward to Watchmen. The graphic novel was a bit underwhelming (even if i did read it on a laptop), and 300 was crap.

Tunnels by Roderick Gordon & Brian Williams.
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince by J.K Rowling.

I think 300 was largely crap because of the source material, although the only other thing that Zack Snyder has done was Dawn of the Dead, which I haven't seen. My main concerns about Watchmen are gratuitous slow-motion shots and the fact that the characters don't look nearly as old as they're supposed to be. Ozymandias is also completely miscast.

I picked up The Road, but put it down in favour of One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest.

Is it worth geting? I still have Waterstones vouchers to use..

I don't know really... it's very bleak, and I don't exactly know what the point to it was. It's well written, I'd like to read another one of his books, especially as I liked the film of No Country For Old Men.

The Shadow of the Wind
The God Delusion - what a fucking fantastic book. Although Dawkins does think that he's more amusing than he actually is.

Blood Of Elves - Andrzej Sapkowski
It's the sequel to The Last Wish: Introducing the Witcher by Sapkowski. The Last Wish is a lot better.. the DL: Geralt is a Witcher (genetically mutated humans designed to kill mystical creatures, monsters, etc. for cash). The setting is a lot like Oblivion/Morrowind/Lord of the Rings. Basically Geralt runs around taking on different missions and killing shit. There's lots of sword fighting, dry sarcastic humor, fucking of fetching maidens, and general badassery. If anyone here likes non-lame-fantasy or adventure books, The Last Wish is a damn good read.

Crime by Irvine Welsh.
Seemed a bit more thought out and restrained in comparison to his more viseral work but given the subject matter, I suppose it had to be. Still very good though.
